Privacy Policy

We’re committed to safeguarding your personal data with transparent and strong privacy practices

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Intent, operated by Armand RIBEIRO (“Intent”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Intent mobile application (“App”) or the Intent website (“Site”).

By using Intent, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

For privacy-related questions or requests, you may contact us at support@intentmobile.com.

Information We Collect

We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting only the information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, synchronize, and improve Intent.

The information we collect depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and whether you create an Intent account.

Personal identification information

When you create an Intent account, we may collect personal information including:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Account identifier

  • Information provided through Google Sign-In

  • Account settings and preferences

If you choose to sign in with Google, we may receive basic account information such as your name, email address, profile information, and Google account identifier, depending on the information made available through Google Sign-In.

Intent does not receive or store your Google password.

You may also voluntarily provide your email address through the Intent website to join our launch waitlist.

Waitlist information

If you join the Intent waitlist, we collect the email address you voluntarily provide.

Your waitlist email address will be used only to:

  • Confirm or manage your waitlist registration

  • Notify you when Intent becomes available

  • Send essential information directly related to the launch of Intent

Joining the waitlist does not automatically subscribe you to a general marketing newsletter.

We intend to use Brevo to manage waitlist emails.

You may request removal from the waitlist at any time by contacting support@intentmobile.com.

Waitlist information will be deleted when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the launch notification process.

App usage information

Intent is designed to help Users reduce distracting app usage by detecting selected application activity and applying blocking, intervention, or redirection rules.

Depending on the features you use, we may collect information including:

  • Applications selected as distracting apps

  • Applications selected as redirection destinations

  • App names and package identifiers

  • App usage events

  • Time and duration of selected app usage

  • Times at which selected apps are opened

  • Number of attempted app openings

  • Number of Intent interventions

  • Number of blocks or redirects

  • Rules created by the User

  • Rule schedules and activation periods

  • App categorization preferences

  • Progress statistics and streaks

  • Intent configuration and synchronization information

This information may be stored in our Supabase infrastructure in order to synchronize your account, rules, settings, and statistics between sessions or supported devices.

Intent does not intend to collect the content of your private messages, passwords, keyboard input, photos, personal files, emails, financial information displayed in other apps, or the private content of third-party applications.

Android permissions and device access

Certain Android permissions and system access are required for Intent to provide its core functionality.

Intent may request the following permissions or access:

Usage Access

Usage Access allows Intent to determine when selected applications are used and to generate relevant app usage statistics.

Accessibility Service

The Accessibility Service allows Intent to detect when selected applications are opened so that an active blocking or redirection rule can be applied.

Intent uses Accessibility access for its digital wellbeing, blocking, intervention, and redirection functionality.

Intent does not intend to use the Accessibility Service to collect passwords, private messages, keyboard input, financial information, or unrelated private content from other applications.

Display over other apps

This permission allows Intent to display a blocking, intervention, or redirection interface above a selected application when an active rule is triggered.

Notifications

Notification permission allows Intent to inform you about relevant events, such as when a rule becomes active, ends, changes status, or requires your attention.

You may disable notifications through your Android device settings.

Background operation

Intent may need to operate in the background so that your active rules continue to function while the Intent application itself is not open.

Alarms and reminders

Intent may use Android scheduling functionality to activate or deactivate rules at the times you have selected.

Installed application information

Intent may access limited information about applications installed on your device, including app names, icons, and package identifiers, where necessary to allow you to select distracting apps or redirection destinations.

You can revoke Android permissions through your device settings. However, disabling certain permissions may prevent some Intent features from functioning correctly.

We may collect limited technical information necessary to maintain, secure, diagnose, and improve Intent.

This may include:

  • Device type

  • Device model

  • Operating system

  • Operating system version

  • Crash information

  • Performance information

  • Pseudonymous identifiers

  • Session information

  • Date and time of interactions

  • Features used within Intent

We do not use this information to create advertising profiles.

Intent may use PostHog, configured using its European Union data region, to understand how Users interact with the App and to improve the product.

Analytics information may include events such as:

  • Screens viewed within Intent

  • Features used

  • Rules created

  • Blocking or redirection events

  • General interaction patterns

  • Technical errors

  • Application performance information

Analytics will be configured according to data-minimization principles.

Intent does not use this information for third-party targeted advertising and does not sell analytics information to advertisers.

We do not intend to use session replay to record the content of Users' mobile screens.

Where applicable law requires consent for particular analytics technologies, such processing will only take place after the necessary consent has been obtained.

Payment information

Intent Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing.

Intent does not directly receive or store full credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or other payment credentials entered into Google Play.

Payment information required to complete the transaction is processed directly by Google under Google's own privacy terms.

We do not sell personal information for advertising purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or similar data protection laws apply, we process personal information under one or more appropriate legal bases.

Performance of a contract

Certain processing is necessary to create your account, synchronize your Intent information, execute your rules, manage Premium access, and provide the services you request.

Consent

We may rely on your consent for optional processing where required by applicable law, including certain permissions, communications, or analytics activities.

You may withdraw your consent where applicable.

Legitimate interests

We may process limited information where necessary for legitimate purposes such as securing Intent, preventing abuse, diagnosing technical problems, and improving service reliability, provided those interests do not override your applicable privacy rights.

Legal obligations

We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, legal proceedings, or lawful requests from public authorities.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

Intent's security architecture is designed to include measures such as:

No online system can guarantee absolute security.

However, we aim to use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.

Intent may store account information, settings, rules, configurations, and synchronized usage statistics using Supabase.

Where reasonably possible, infrastructure processing information relating to European Users will be configured using European hosting regions.

  • Supabase

  • Google

  • Google Play

  • PostHog

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Account information, User-created rules, settings, and synchronized statistics may generally be retained for as long as you maintain an Intent account.

If you delete your account, information associated with your account will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for legitimate security, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

Certain information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are replaced according to normal backup cycles.

Waitlist information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide launch-related communications or until you request its removal.

Analytics information will be retained only for a period reasonably necessary to analyze and improve the product.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell or rent Users' personal information.

We do not sell app usage information to advertisers.

The Site or its hosting provider may use technical storage strictly necessary for website operation, security, functionality, or performance.

If Intent later introduces optional analytics cookies, advertising technologies, or other non-essential website tracking, this Privacy Policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented where required by law.

You may also request deletion by contacting:

support@intentmobile.com

Deleting an account may permanently remove synchronized rules, statistics, settings, preferences, and other information associated with that account.

Certain information may be retained where required by applicable law or for legitimate security, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Children’s privacy

Intent is intended for a general audience and is not specifically designed or marketed as a service for children.

We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from children in circumstances that would violate applicable child privacy or data protection laws.

Where applicable law requires consent or authorization from a parent or legal guardian before a child may provide personal information or use certain features, the required authorization must be obtained.

Age and parental-consent requirements may differ depending on the User's country or jurisdiction.

If we become aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.

A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child's information has been processed improperly may contact:
