Introduction
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Intent mobile application (“App”), the Intent website (“Site”), and any related services provided by Intent.
Intent is currently operated by Armand RIBEIRO, France (“Intent”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing the App, purchasing a subscription, starting a free trial, or otherwise using Intent, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use Intent.

Account registration
An Intent account is required to use the App.
Intent currently supports authentication through methods such as:
Email and password
Google Sign-In
When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep your account information reasonably up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and for activities carried out through your account.
You must notify us as soon as reasonably possible if you believe that your account has been accessed or used without authorization.
You may not:
Create an account using false or misleading information
Impersonate another person
Access another person's account without authorization
Attempt to bypass Intent authentication or account-security measures
Eligibility
Intent is intended for a general audience and is not specifically designed or marketed as a service for children.
You may use Intent only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.
If applicable law requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian before you may use Intent, create an account, purchase a subscription, or accept these Terms, you may use Intent only after obtaining the required authorization.
Intent services
Intent is a digital wellbeing and productivity application designed to help Users reduce unwanted or distracting application usage and use their devices more intentionally.
Depending on the features available on your device, account, subscription, and version of Intent, the App may allow you to:
Select distracting applications
Create blocking rules
Redirect selected applications to alternative applications
Create scheduled rules
Set usage limits
Create opening-count triggers
Configure blocking and redirection preferences
Configure multiple time intervals
Temporarily block or redirect applications
Categorize applications
View app-usage statistics
View blocking and redirection statistics
View daily or weekly statistics
Customize certain intervention screens
Synchronize supported account settings
Restore supported Intent configuration
Access additional Premium functionality
Intent is intended to assist you in developing more intentional digital habits.
Intent does not guarantee that you will:
Reduce your screen time
Improve productivity
Develop a particular habit
Stop using a particular application
Reach a particular personal or behavioral goal
Local-first operation
Intent is designed around a local-first architecture.
Certain operational information, including app-usage information, historical statistics, blocking and redirection activity, and information required to execute rules, may primarily be processed and stored locally on your device.
Certain account configuration may be synchronized using Intent's backend infrastructure.
This may include information such as:
Rules
Rule schedules
Selected applications
Settings
App Type overrides
Personalization settings
Other supported account configuration
Detailed historical app-usage information and raw usage events are not currently intended to be stored by Intent as a cloud history.
The specific processing of information is described in the Intent Privacy Policy.
Android permissions and system access
Certain Intent features require Android permissions or system access.
Depending on your device and enabled features, these may include:
Usage Access
Accessibility Service access
Display over other apps
Notification permission
Background operation
Battery-optimization settings
Scheduling functionality
Access to limited installed-application information
These permissions may be necessary for features including:
Detecting relevant application activity
Applying blocking rules
Applying redirection rules
Displaying intervention screens
Calculating app-usage statistics
Scheduling rules
Keeping active rules operational in the background
You remain in control of Android permissions and can generally change or revoke them through your Android device settings.
However, disabling a permission or system setting required by Intent may cause some features to stop working or to function less reliably.
Accessibility Service
Intent may use an Android Accessibility Service as part of its blocking, intervention, and redirection functionality.
The Accessibility Service is not intended to provide a security guarantee or to make it technically impossible to access another application.
Android, device-manufacturer behavior, operating-system updates, third-party application changes, or User actions may affect the reliability of this functionality.
Intent should not be relied upon as:
A parental-control system
A security system
An emergency-control system
An access-control system where failure could create a risk of harm
Service limitations
Intent depends on technologies outside our direct control, including:
Android
Device manufacturers
System permissions
Battery-management systems
Third-party applications
Google services
Google Play
Network connectivity
Third-party service providers
We cannot guarantee that every blocking, intervention, scheduling, tracking, statistics, or redirection feature will operate without interruption on every:
Device
Android version
Manufacturer
System configuration
Third-party application
Android updates, manufacturer restrictions, battery optimization, security settings, third-party application updates, and changes to Google policies may affect Intent.
We may make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with supported devices, but we cannot guarantee permanent compatibility with every device or operating-system version.
Free version
Intent may provide a free version of the service.
The Free version may include limits relating to functionality such as:
Number of rules
Number of scheduling intervals
Usage limits
Trigger counts
Number of applications within blocking lists
Statistics history
Statistics ranges
Customization features
The precise Free limits available to you are those displayed within the current version of Intent.
Intent may change Free features or limits as the product evolves.
Where reasonably possible, material changes will not affect rights you have already acquired under applicable law.
Intent Premium
Intent offers or intends to offer a paid subscription called Intent Premium.
The intended base prices are:
US$3.99 per month
US$29.99 per year
These are base reference prices.
Google Play may display a different amount depending on:
Your country
Local currency
Applicable taxes
Regional pricing
Exchange rates
Google Play pricing rules
Promotional offers
The final price displayed by Google Play before you confirm a purchase is the price applicable to that transaction.
Intent does not guarantee that the base U.S. price will be identical in every country.
Premium functionality may include features such as:
Additional or unlimited rules
Additional scheduling intervals
Higher or unlimited usage limits
Higher or unlimited trigger counts
Larger or unlimited blocking lists
Weekly statistics
Extended statistics history
Advanced personalization
Other features identified as Premium within the App
Premium features may evolve over time.
Free trial
Intent Premium may include a 14-day free trial for eligible Users where the offer is available through Google Play.
A free trial is available only when:
It is displayed by Google Play before purchase
Your account is eligible under Google's rules and the applicable offer conditions
The trial has not otherwise been restricted or exhausted
Not every User is necessarily eligible for a free trial.
Eligibility may depend on factors including:
Previous subscriptions
Previous free trials
Google Play account history
Country
Promotional eligibility
Offer configuration
The App will not intentionally represent a free trial as available when Google Play does not confirm an applicable free-trial offer.
Unless you cancel before the end of the free-trial period, the subscription will automatically convert into the applicable paid subscription and Google Play will charge the price displayed during subscription confirmation.
You can cancel the subscription during the free trial through Google Play.
Cancelling during the trial normally prevents the first paid renewal, subject to the terms displayed by Google Play.
Subscription renewal
Intent Premium subscriptions are recurring subscriptions.
Unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew for another billing period.
Monthly subscriptions normally renew monthly.
Annual subscriptions normally renew annually.

We may change subscription prices in the future.
Where required, you will receive appropriate notice and will have the rights provided by Google Play and applicable consumer law.
Subscription cancellation
You may cancel the automatic renewal of Intent Premium at any time through your Google Play subscription settings.
Cancelling your subscription prevents future automatic renewals but does not normally immediately remove Premium access.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or Google Play rules, Premium access generally remains active until the end of the current paid subscription period.

Your local Intent data
does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription.
If you no longer want to be charged, you should cancel the subscription through Google Play.
Payments
All Intent Premium purchases made through the Android application are processed through Google Play Billing.
Google processes your payment credentials.
Intent does not directly receive or store your full:
Credit-card number
Debit-card number
Google payment credentials
Purchases may also be subject to Google's terms, billing policies, and payment conditions.
RevenueCat
Intent uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlement and determine whether a User has access to Intent Premium.
RevenueCat may receive limited subscription information from Intent and Google Play for this purpose.
The fact that RevenueCat, Intent, or your device temporarily cannot verify a subscription does not create a right to Premium access that has not been successfully verified.
Where possible, Intent may preserve previously verified subscription rights during temporary technical failures.
Subscription status is ultimately determined using information provided by the applicable app store and subscription infrastructure.
Restore purchases
Intent may provide a Restore Purchases function.
This function allows the App to request current subscription information and restore Premium access when an active eligible subscription can be verified.
Restoration does not:
Create a new subscription
Guarantee Premium access where no valid entitlement exists
Restore a subscription that has expired
Override Google Play purchase records
Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on:
Google Play refund policies
The circumstances of the purchase
Your location
Applicable consumer law
Where Google Play handles a refund request directly, the request will be processed according to Google's applicable policies.
Where you are instructed to contact Intent regarding a billing or refund issue, you may contact:
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
User responsibilities
You agree to use Intent responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws.
You agree not to:
Use Intent for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
Gain unauthorized access to another User's account
Gain unauthorized access to Intent servers, databases, systems, or infrastructure
Circumvent authentication or security controls
Interfere with the operation of the App or Site
Introduce malware or malicious code
Exploit vulnerabilities for unauthorized purposes
Intentionally overload Intent infrastructure
Extract or attempt to obtain data belonging to other Users
Misrepresent your identity
Violate another person's rights
Use Intent to facilitate unlawful monitoring or control of another person's device
Reverse engineering and misuse
Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not:
Reverse engineer Intent
Decompile the App
Disassemble the App
Attempt to obtain Intent's proprietary source code
Circumvent technical restrictions
Modify or distribute unauthorized versions of Intent
Reproduce significant portions of Intent
Resell or redistribute the App
Create an unauthorized competing copy of the service using Intent's proprietary technology or materials
Security research must not:
Harm Users
Disrupt the service
Access User information without authorization
Cause damage to systems
Violate applicable law
User settings and data
You may create information within Intent such as:
Rules
Schedules
Preferences
App classifications
Personalization settings
Other Intent configuration
Some of this information may be synchronized through Intent's infrastructure.
Other information, particularly detailed usage history and statistics, may remain locally stored on your device.
You retain any rights you have in information you provide to Intent.
You grant Intent only the limited rights necessary to store, process, synchronize, transmit, and otherwise use that information to provide the Intent service in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Intent does not currently provide a public social network or publishing platform for User-generated posts, photos, videos, or messages.

is owned by or licensed to Armand RIBEIRO unless otherwise stated.
Your use of Intent does not transfer ownership of any intellectual-property rights to you.
Subject to these Terms, Intent grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful personal use.
You may not commercially exploit Intent or its proprietary materials without prior authorization except where applicable law expressly allows otherwise.

Intent relies on third-party products and services that may include:
Google
Google Sign-In
Google Play
Google Play Billing
Supabase
RevenueCat
PostHog
Sentry
Framer
Google Workspace or Google Sheets
Brevo
Android operating-system services
Third-party services are governed by their own:

Technical limitations
Availability
Security practices
We are not responsible for outages, restrictions, changes, errors, or discontinuation of third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.
Where a third-party change materially affects Intent, we may need to:
Modify a feature
Temporarily disable a feature
Replace an integration
Discontinue an affected feature
Product analytics and crash monitoring
Intent may use services such as PostHog to understand high-level product usage and Sentry to diagnose crashes and technical errors.
These services are used subject to the practices described in the Intent Privacy Policy.
Use of these services does not mean that Intent guarantees:
Error-free operation
Immediate bug correction
Continuous monitoring
Automatic correction of every technical problem
Availability of the service
We aim to keep Intent available and functional but do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability.
Intent may temporarily become unavailable because of:
Maintenance
Software updates
Server interruptions
Network problems
Security incidents
Bugs
Android updates
Third-party outages
Compatibility issues
Technical changes
Events outside our reasonable control
We may perform maintenance and updates where reasonably necessary for:

Reliability
Performance

Functionality
Updates
Intent may provide application updates through Google Play or other supported distribution channels.
Some updates may:
Fix bugs
Improve performance
Modify functionality
Add features
Remove obsolete features
Respond to Android changes
Respond to Google Play requirements
Address security problems
Older versions of Intent may eventually become unsupported.
Where reasonably necessary for security or compatibility, Intent may require a minimum supported version of the App.
Changes to Intent
Intent is an evolving product.
We may add, modify, replace, restrict, or discontinue features.
This may include changes to:
Free functionality
Premium functionality
Statistics
Rules
Limits
Personalization
Supported devices
Technical infrastructure
Integrations
System requirements
Where a material change significantly affects a paid service, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.
Future features
Intent may introduce additional functionality in the future, including:

Weekly summaries
New Premium functionality
Additional personalization
New rule types
Improvements to intervention functionality
Support for additional platforms
Future features are not guaranteed until they are actually made available.
A mention of a planned feature in marketing, development material, a roadmap, or other communication does not constitute a guarantee that the feature will be released unless expressly stated otherwise.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an Intent account where reasonably necessary if we believe that:
These Terms have been materially violated
The account is being used fraudulently
The service is being abused
Another User's rights or security are threatened
Intent infrastructure or security is threatened
Unauthorized system or data access is attempted
Suspension is required by law
Continued access could create material harm
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we may provide notice before taking action.
Serious:
Security violations
Fraud
Illegal activity
Immediate threats
may result in immediate suspension or termination.
Suspension does not remove rights or obligations that arose before suspension.
Account deletion
You may delete or request deletion of your Intent account through the account-deletion functionality provided by Intent.
An additional account-deletion process may also be available through the Intent website.

Locally stored Intent information may also be deleted where technically appropriate.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
If you have an active subscription, you should separately cancel it through Google Play.
Privacy
Our collection, storage, processing, synchronization, and use of personal information is described in the Intent Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of how Intent operates and should be read together with these Terms.
Disclaimer
Intent is provided as a digital wellbeing and productivity tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Intent is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
Intent will always be available
Intent will always operate without errors
Every application can always be blocked
Every application can always be redirected
Every rule will always trigger
Usage information will always be perfectly accurate
Intent will remain compatible with every Android device
Intent will produce a particular behavioral result
Intent will eliminate distracting app usage
Intent will prevent a User from bypassing a rule
Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees, warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Intent and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of or inability to use Intent where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
This may include losses resulting from:
Service interruptions
Failure of a blocking rule
Failure of a redirection rule
Failure of a scheduled rule
Inaccurate statistics
Loss of local settings or configuration
Third-party service failure
Android system changes
Device compatibility issues
Battery-management restrictions
Unauthorized account access outside our reasonable control
You remain responsible for:
How you use your device
Which Intent permissions you grant
Which rules you create
Decisions made in reliance on Intent
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses or claims resulting from:
Your unlawful use of Intent
Intentional misuse of the service
Violation of another person's rights
Material violation of these Terms
This provision does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
New Intent functionality
Changes to subscriptions
Pricing changes
Technical changes
Security requirements
Changes to third-party services
Changes to Google Play requirements
Changes in applicable law
When these Terms are updated, the “Last updated” date at the beginning of these Terms will be revised.

Your continued use of Intent after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
Where applicable law requires explicit acceptance, we will request it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country or jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections granted by mandatory provisions of the law that would otherwise apply to you.
Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute relating to Intent, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve it.

These Terms do not require Users to resolve disputes through mandatory private arbitration.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the competent court or dispute-resolution body will be determined according to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer's right to bring proceedings before a competent court where applicable law provides that right.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary where possible.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
